Station 23 is the newest station in the city. Construction was finished in December of 2004. Station 23 houses the newly reorganized Squad 2. Squad 2 was disbanded in June of 1996 when funding for a fully operational squad was not available. In January of 2004, the city voted to reorganize Squad 2 to respond on the growing east side of the city. A new piece of apparatus had to be ordered because the old Squad 2 was sold to a suburban volunteer department. Station 23 is an operating group of Battalion 2. Station 23 houses:
